Schulman's THIS BEAUTIFUL LIFE: The Prep School Girl\Teen Porn Star

Previously, we wrote about "Swiffergate", which we learned about from Zachary Kussin's New York Post post, "Con artist Danielle Miller, who flaunted lavish, lifestyle facing new reality — and needs a roommate", which is about “Swiffer Girl” (Danielle Miller). Kussin related that in 2004, Miller, an 8th grader at The Bronx's exclusive Horace Mann prep school, produced three (3) self-shot videos masturbating with and simulating fellatio on a Swiffer broom.

Gabrielle Bluestone elaborated on "Swiffergate" in her New York magazine piece, ‘I More So Consider Myself a Con Artist Than Anything’ What Danielle Miller learned at Horace Mann and Rikers" where Bluestone related that after Miller's crush shared the teen masturbation videos, (unsurprisingly) the videos went viral "among New York’s private-school students" and on the Internet:

Initially, Miller was distraught, but by 9th grade, she embraced the attention, and due to "Swiffergate", "Swiffer Girl" became a much sought after high school "It Girl" and teen porn star. 

And in Female Chauvinist Pigs: Women and the Rise of Raunch Culture, Ariel Levy elaborated on Miller's embraced fame as a prep school porn star, which included signing autographs.

Subsequently, Helen Schulman fictionalized "Swiffergate" and “Swiffer Girl” in This Beautiful Life. In the novel, Daisy Cavanaugh, an 8th grader at The Bronx's Wildwood high, is described as wearing purple lip gloss with clear braces, bleached blond hair and "tiny breast buds".

After she recorded, “Still think I’m too young?”, Daisy “[...] reached below her hemline and lifted up her (short) skirt [...]" to reveal her “[...] shaved pudenda [...]”. Then "[s]he reached out for a little toy baseball bat [...]", masturbated, and emailed the video to Jake - a 15-year-old Upper East Sider and sophomore at Wildwood.

Just like IRL, Daisy's selfie went viral. For example, nymphets were even viewing the video in the school's library: “The Upper School librarian had caught sight of the video over some girl’s shoulder on one of the school’s PCs and that was that.” At Wildwood the “lesbians and feminists” didn’t “get it” but the “Nice girls. Sluts.” did. 

Consequently, Daisy became a(n) (amateur) teen porn star - autographing toy baseball bats and joyfully posing for pictures with her teen fans on Wildwood's campus:

“She was autographing baseball bats. Some of the kids on the team had brought them to her as a goof. They were taking pictures of her with their cell phones and she was posing […] “She was famous now. He’d made her famous. She was autographing the bats and smiling a big, broad, winning smile.”

And Jake reaped rewards too. After returning to school from a brief suspension, Jake was greeted with a "blur of backslapping" and Rachel Potter, one of the hottest and most popular girls at Wildwood, performed oral sex on Jake - in the woods behind their prep school.

“On Friday, Rachel Potter asked Jake out. Rachel Potter was one of the hottest girls in his grade and one of the most popular. She had all this great curly blond hair.”

Lastly, Schulman included some nympholepsy in This Beautiful Life when she name dropped Nabokov, Jimmy Page, and wrote that Uptown Prep's principal was soliciting school girls for (online) sex:

“Threadgill isn’t the first private school headmaster in NYC exposed as a lover of ‘hard candy’ [i.e., very young porn] — because last fall, at Uptown Prep, the principal was caught inviting fourteen- and fifteen-year-old girls to have sex via online chat rooms.” ”

GOSSIP GIRL (2021): Heterosexual Age-Gap Affairs & Schoolgirl Lipstick Lesbians

In addition to the (heterosexual) teen analingus, fellatio, and sex, in the 2021 Gossip Girl reboot (Season 1 Part 1), nympholepsy and heterosexual age-gap affairs are portrayed. 

For example, on episode 3, Lies Wide Shut, we learn that George, Reema's husband, was abruptly fired from his job, because George knew that his boss, a father at Constance Billard [High] School, expensed escorts. And Wendy, a teacher at Constance Billard and Reema's co-worker, discovered that, "One of the escorts he hired was a senior at Constance."

Thus, like the teen prostitutes in the wealthy district of Rome, at least one senior at Constance worked as a paid escort. 

Interestingly, in episode 4, Fire Walks With Z, Julien, a junior at Constance, receives a number of Venmo payment alerts on her iPhone. 

"You're being Venmoed for BJs, HJs, poppers, urine, your celebrity fleshlight, and "seven grams of better coke than the last batch," Luna informs Julien. 

Although, the Venmo payments for teen blowjobs, handjobs and urine, were part of a prank from Zoya, a Constance sophomore and Julien's half-sister, in the context of the teen escort(s) at Constance, the prank is revealing.

Julien may have been pranked, but after she shared with the club in Lies Wide Shut, "I'm in my underwear on the Daily Mail." She tells Max, "We'll WhatsApp that to Timothée." But then she thought about the possible repercussions of sexting 25-year-old Timothée a picture of a first semester prep school junior in her panties. "Actually, don't. You'll get arrested. 

(IRL, even though Timothée didn't request the picture, he would have possibly been canceled, and Julien would have been consoled.)

In episode 5, Hope Sinks, Emily, another Constance junior, shares with Aki, her schoolmate and boyfriend, that a middle-aged celebrity is giving her "the eye": 

"Please hurry, because whoever is dressed as Bruce Willis has been giving me the eye for a half hour. That is Bruce Willis. Hurry faster."

I wonder why the writer's choose Bruce Willis and not someone like Jerry Seinfeld or Leonardo DiCaprio. 

And in Hope Sinks, Zoya is seduced by Simon, a New York magazine reporter, because he suspects that Zoya is Gossip Girl. Jessica Goldstein wrote to Simon on Vulture in her Gossip Girl Week 5 Report Card": 

"Stalking, flirting with, and lying to a child (Zoya is 15!) for your article is gross [...]"

The Gossip Girl reboot appears to be (mostly) aimed at (young) women and non-heteronormativity viewers, but, arguably, the teen (lipstick) lesbian kissing scene in Lies Wide Shut was arguably aimed at (young) men.

Lastly, the first six episodes of the reboot are continuing the age-gap affair motif from the original series. For example, on episode 7 of the 6th season of Gossip Girl, Blair (Leighton Meester) "Invoke[d] the order of the secrets" in an attempt to blackmail representatives of the five most powerful Manhattan prep schools into attending her fashion show. 

And how did she attempt to blackmail the nymphets from The Nightingale-Bamford School, The Brearley School, The Chapin School, and The Spence School to comply with her demand?

Blair surmised that at least one of the prep school teens had an affair with her drama teacher, another with her Latin teacher and another with her father's business partner.

"Invoke the order of the secrets [...] If they don't do what you say, spill their secrets [...] And if your refuse, she'll have no choice but to reveal your affair with your drama teacher. Your Latin teacher. Your father’s business partner.” "

Although, it's not relevant to this blog, it's worth mentioning that there's a Constance student-teacher affair between Max, a Constance senior, and Rafael "Rafa" Caparros - the Classics teacher. Of this student-teacher age-gap affair, Deuxmoi shared with Cosmopolitan's Samantha Bergeson:

In episode 7, of the student-teacher sexual affair, the teacher truthfully confessed that he was "pursued" by his student whom "followed" him after school.

While it was previously inferred the the students were seniors, we get the impression in episode 8 that they're juniors, because Julien said, "When I leave here (i.e., Constance) in a year and a half [...]"

During episode 11, Obie is insulted by a rival, "You're too busy helping Ghislaine Calloway get girls for daddy."

But it's in episode 11 and 12 where viewers get a glimpse of the types of tips that Gossip Girl receives about the raunchy behavior that some of the prep school students indulge in such as in episode 11 we learned that, "They send in pictures of their friends' sanitary napkins. [And they] [d]etail humiliating hookups down to their viscosity." And we learned that Pips got an abortion after she was ditched by Tyler Mathson before he left for Penn. 

In addition, in episode 12, subsequent to Gossip Girl's release of a spreadsheet of all the tips submitted to the gossip Instagram account, we learned that another Constance Billard student had an age-gap sexual affair and "slept" with The Help. And to get more followers on social media, two prep school twins unabashedly engaged in incentious lipstick lesbian girl-on-girl kissing:

Mom: You made out with each other to get followers?
Twin #1 (Auvray Stephenson): And it worked!
Twin #2 (Evershea Stephenson): Prude!

And speaking of lipstick lesbians, in episode 12, Monet commanded her two dates, "You two, upstairs, I need to think. And you're going to keep me focused [by engaging in lipstick lesbian girl-on-girl kissing.)

Lastly and unsurprisingly, Gossip Girl has been renewed for another (rebooted) season. 

CRUEL INTENTIONS 2: MANCHESTER PREP (2000): A Prep School Teen Masturbation in Central Park

I wrote about Cruel Intentions (1999) in The Allure of Nymphets and how the film was the genesis for the book. However, Cruel Intentions 2: Manchester Prep (2000)  was even more revealing, which isn't surprising considering that both films were written and directed by Roger Kumble and were "suggested" by the French book  Les Liaisons dangereuses.

Cruel Intentions 2: Manchester Prep contains:

1. An age-discrepant relationship between sophomore Kathryn Merteuil and Assistant Headmaster Steve Muller. The surprisingly realistic dialogue between Kathryn and the Assistant Headmaster will sum up their relationship suitably. Kathryn threatened to expose their affair, that she initiated, if gym class wasn't removed from her schedule. Apparently, she didn't like to sweat.

Kathryn: "Isn't it against the rules for someone of your age to seduce a minor like you did to me this summer in The Hamptons?"

Assistant Headmaster: "It was you who seduced me!"

Kathryn: "You know. You're right. It was me who seduced you but then again, who will the school board believe. It's my word against yours. Think about it Steve. Something like this could ruin your career. Not to mention your marriage."

As hard as it is for feminists and teen boys to admit, IRL and in fiction, it's very often the schoolgirl who initially seduces the teacher slash assistant headmaster; therefore, it typically falls on the teacher to resist the allure of a nymphet to avoid violating age-of-consent and/or workplace laws and rules. In other words, very few teachers, or men in general, have the skills to seduce a nymphet.

2. Two lipstick lesbian kissing scenes are in the film, but the most salacious incestuous kiss took place between topless seniors played by real-life twins Alicia and Annie Sorell.

3. And in a scene that may be inspiring to the nymphet readers of Rookie magazine, freshman Cherie Claymon masturbated upon a horse in Central Park which was all part of Kathryn's plot to turn Cherie into the "...premier slut of Manchester Prep."

Those scenes took place between raunchy quotes like, "As the school motto goes, if you don't snort it, suck it." "I'm tired of being the only virgin of the sophomore class." In Lolita (Vintage Books\Random House, 1991), Lolita confessed to Humbert that she had pre-teen “sapphic diversions” with Elizabeth Talbot - Lolita’s tent-mate at summer camp. Nabokov wrote:

In “Reality Check From Young Voices”, a chapter in Katie Cappiello and Meg McInerney’s Slut: A Play and Guidebook for Combating Sexism and Sexual Violence (The Feminist Press at CUNY, 2015), 17-year-old Danielle confessed that “lots of sexual firsts” happened at her “typical Jewish summer camp” like the filming (oral) sex tapes. Danielle shared:

In the first memory, “Fake Orgasms Sweep Horse Camp”, readers learned about “horsegasms”, which was when a Camp Rim Rock horseback rider had an orgasm via a horse. The quest to have horsegasms arose after Lauren Petersen, the “alpha girl” of the cabin and a New Yorker, shared with her cabin mates that she was getting: “‘tickling feelings’ while grinding on a Western saddle.” Consequently, Lauren’s cabin mates, including the then-11-year-old storyteller, went on a “craze[d]” quest to have a horsegasm.

On a related note: On episode 06 of Amazon Prime’s Cruel Intentions (2024), streamers learned from Cece that years before she matriculated at Manchester College, she broke her hymen on a “Gorgeous palomino named Lucky.” Cece’s confession may have been inspired by Cruel Intentions 2: Manchester Prep (2000) where Cherie Claymon, a freshman at Manchester Prep, was forced to have a horsegasm while posting in Central Park, which was all part of a plot by Kathryn, an upperclassman, to turn Cherie into the "premier slut of Manchester Prep." Sex Ed for Manhattan Prep Students: Masturbation & Porn Literacy for Teens

We've previously written about raunchy teen behavior at some of Manhattan's "top" schools. And we related that Tamar Lewin posted in "Teen-Agers Alter Sexual Practices, Thinking Risks Will Be Avoided" (April 5, 1997) for the New York Times that Hunter, a top high school on Manhattan's wealthy Upper East Side, provides "mint-flavored condoms with no spermicide, labeled ''ONLY for oral sex'' for the Hunter High nymphets.

Now Dana Kennedy posted for the New York Post that "Dalton parents [are] enraged over ‘masturbation’ videos for first graders" (May 29, 2021) Kennedy wrote:

Last fall, parents at the posh $55,000-per-year Dalton School got wind of their first-graders being taught sex-education lessons that included masturbation.

When juniors at [Columbia Grammar & Prep School] the $47,000-a-year Manhattan school showed up for a health and sexuality workshop, most thought it was “just going to be about condoms or birth control,” a student told The Post.

Instead, it was something called “Pornography Literacy: An intersectional focus on mainstream porn,” taught by Justine Ang Fonte, who’s the director of Health & Wellness at another elite prep school, Dalton.

Fonte’s presentation, some of which was seen by The Post, included a list of the most searched pornographic terms of 2019, including “creampie,” “anal,” “gangbang,” “stepmom” and more.

One slide cited various porn genres such as “incest-themed,” consensual or “vanilla,” “barely legal,” and “kink and BDSM” (which included “waterboard electro” torture porn as an example).

In 2004, when Miller was in eighth grade, a boy she had a crush on dared her in an AIM message to prove she wasn’t a “prude.” She grabbed the new Sony VAIO laptop her father had given her for Christmas and propped it on the ledge of her shower stall. By the next year, in ninth grade, Miller had decided to abandon what was left of her identity as a nice, quiet girl. “I became a different person,” she says. She got her first fake ID and doubled down on the scandal, becoming “that girl,” as the former classmate describes her, the one you’d call “if you wanted to do something bad or go out on a Wednesday night and get drunk in ninth grade.”

“I lived in a never-ending Gossip Girl episode,” Miller wrote while she was incarcerated. “Everyone wanted to be friends with Swiffer Girl. Everyone wanted Swiffer Girl at their parties. It appears that the boy wasn’t in the wrong because, in an effort to have more middle school sex tapes made, he only shared the videos with Miller’s best friend whom, as far as we know didn’t make a teen sex tape, but she did share the videos with “whole eighth grade”.

Interestingly, the videos were made when Miller was 13, but they didn’t go viral until she was 14 (2004), which was one year before she lost her virginity.

GOSSIP GIRL: How to Blackmail a Nymphet? Reveal Her Affair with Her Drama Teacher

Relationships on teen television shows between students and (English) teachers are typically portrayed in one or maybe two episodes; however, that wasn't the case with Gossip Girl.

On the 7th episode of the 6th season of Gossip Girl, Blair (Leighton Meester) "Invoke[d] the order of the secrets" in an attempt to blackmail representatives of the five most powerful Manhattan prep schools into attending her fashion show. 

And how did she attempt to blackmail the nymphets from The Nightingale-Bamford School, The Brearley School, The Chapin School, and The Spence School to comply with her demand? 

Blair surmised that at least one of the prep school nymphets had an affair with her drama teacher, another with her Latin teacher and another with her father's business partner.

Hamilton alluded to her reasoning in the profile:

Thus, it appears that, in addition to getting likes, comments, and follows, Hamilton may "flaunt a disgusting habit or story [...] to conceal what truly is disgusting."

I'm not sure what Hamilton could be concealing that's truly disgusting by flaunting the prep schoolgirl movie theater blow job story, but it may not matter if the story is true or not, because what's more important is Hamilton's reasoning for the post.
