Here's Pineapple Express' (2008) Movie Info from Rotten Tomatoes:
Critically acclaimed director David Gordon Green takes a break [...] for this action-flavored buddy comedy concerning two pot-smoking friends (Seth Rogen and James Franco) who unwittingly become involved with a vicious gang of drug dealers. Judd Apatow and Shauna Robertson produce a script co-penned by star Rogen and Evan Goldberg.
In the film, Dale Denton (Seth Rogen) shared with KRAD talk radio:
Dale: "I'm just saying love has no age. You can't instantly tell me that a man, because he's a certain age can't marry a [much younger] woman or love a [much younger] woman. I'm dating a high school girl [...] if I'm 25 and the girl is 18-years-old you know in society that might look bad."
Talk radio host: "Hey, as long as it's consensual."
Dale: "I think it's consensual."
Subsequently, during his lunch break, Dale visited Angie, his teen girlfriend, at her high school. Consequently, a teacher asked Dale why he didn't date someone his own age, and Dale responded, "She's very mature for her age."
After visiting Angie, Dale visited Saul (James Franco) and shared with Saul that he feels like a "[...] fat, dumb, fucking stinky ass-turd" around Angie's "[...] strong and handsome and really funny." classmates.
Saul encouraged, "You know, don't get down on yourself. You got a great girl."
However, Dale told Angie, "[...] you are gonna go to college next year [...] And you'll blow a bunch of dudes and become a lesbian, and I'll be here in fucking Clark County doing shit-all. You're gonna dump me. So, fuck it, have a good time."
[Note: Dale shared that he and Angie had been dating for three months, and Dale stated that Angie would be going to college "next year". That implies that they met during the first semester of Angie's senior year of high school, which would imply that they met when Angie was 17-years-old.]
Later, Dale regretted what he said and cried, "Angie, I'm calling, because I love you more than anything in the world and I wanna let you know I'll do anything to make it work [...] I love you."
Angie: "I love you [...] I wanna marry you"
But, Dale didn't want to get married and told Angie that she was immature for not realizing that he was a "fuck-up".
Angie responded by confessing, "I'm not immature. You're immature [...] I lost my virginity when I was 14-years-old!"
Dale: "Really?"
