Rebecca Aizin related in her People piece, “Who Is Tom Schwartz's Girlfriend? All About Sophia Skoro” (April 18, 2024), that 41-year-old Tom Schwartz of Vanderpump Rules fame is, unabashedly, dating 23-year-old Sophia Skoro.
The Vanderpump Rules star started dating his girlfriend, Sophia Skoro, in December 2023, nearly two years after splitting from his ex-wife and costar Katie Maloney in March 2022. The 23-year-old is 18 years younger than Schwartz, but the age gap hasn’t bothered either of them.
Schwartz shared during the Access Hollywood interview, “Tom Schwartz Reveals If New Girlfriend Sophia Is 'The One' [...]”(Apr 10, 2024), that Skoro, whom graduated from the University of Oregon in June 2022, is “cool”, “clever” and “unconventionally funny”.
"She's just really effing cool! She's charismatic and clever and kind of unconventionally funny," Schwartz said in an April 2024 interview with Access Hollywood. "She's way cooler than me."
Like 20-year-old Natalie Joy who initiated an age-gap relationship via a DM with 38-year-old Nick Viall, Skoro initiated the age-gap affair with Schwartz by informing him that he was hot.
During an April 2024 appearance on Nick Viall’s The Viall Files podcast, Schwartz shared that Skoro made the first move when she met him at his bar, TomTom, in the summer of 2023.
"I was like, 'He's looking hot,' so I just told him," Skoro said. "I simply just told him, and that was it."
After meeting Skoro, Schwartz shared with a friend, “I just met the most beautiful human being I've ever laid eyes on.” Subsequently, the budding age-gap couple exchanged numbers and went on a dinner date. Consequently, per Aizin, “Schwartz ‘couldn’t get away from’ Skoro”.

Aizin related that Schwartz is unbothered by people who criticize his 18-year age-gap with Skoro - especially since Skoro initiated the relationship and by denying that fact, people “strip away” Skoro’s agency. Aizin wrote:
Though people were quick to point out that Skoro is 18 years younger than Schwartz, the Schwartz & Sandy’s owner said it doesn’t bother him.
"Honestly, if I was a lecherous old man trolling bars, like, seeking out young women, I think that would feel gross,” Schwartz shared in The Viall Files podcast. “But we just kind of bumped into each other. We hit it off."
He added that he felt “defensive” when people judged their age gap, stating that he doesn’t like when “they strip away a woman's agency.”
In the end, like Joy and Viall, maybe Skoro and Schwartz will have an age-gap marriage.
