The Courtney Stodden (17), Doug Hutchison (52) and 'Seinfeld' Star (53) Age-Gap Scandal

Below is Courtney Stodden and Doug Hutchison’s age-gap relationship timeline that’s partially based on an A&E report.

January 2011: Courtney Stodden Meets Doug Hutchison

In 20211, 16-year-old Courtney Stodden, a pageant contestant, model, and aspiring singer, enrolled in 50-year-old Doug Hutchison’s online acting workshop. (Doug is arguably best known for his roles on The X-Files and Lost.) Subsequently, after class, Courtney and Doug began exchanging flirtatious emails.

Due to Courtney’s age, Krista Keller, Courtney’s mother, monitored the emails, which she told The Daily Beast were "beautiful, loving, [and] nonsexual." However, Doug didn’t realize that Courtney was a teen, and when he found out, he shared with ABC News that the news caused a "struggle" in his heart, because he had "already started falling for her."

May 20, 2011: Courtney Stodden and Doug Hutchison Get Married

Per A&E, Courtney’s mother said that Doug: “offered to step away from Stodden until she was 18, but Keller suggested that they should just get married instead.” Courtney’s mother opined that her daughter, despite his age, had “real love” with Doug. In addition, Courtney’s mother knew that due her daughter’s “sexuality and because of the attention she gets” no regular man could handle her daughter. Courtney’s mother said,
"Even though she was just 16, I knew it was going to take a pretty big man to handle her because of her sexuality and because of the attention she gets."
Consequently, 16-year-old Courtney and 51-year-old Doug got married in Las Vegas, and the age-gap couple honeymooned at the Chateau Marmont in Hollywood.

2012–2013: Couples Therapy, and The Donny Clay Show with Courtney Stodden

Courtney and Doug appeared on VH1's Couples Therapy with Dr. Jenn Berman. Per A&E “([...] the fact that Stodden wasn't even 18 yet) caused a lot of tension both within the cast” ; however, Dr. Berman informed Access Hollywood that in her professional opinion “she didn't see [Doug] Hutchison as a predator.”

In the promotional interview for Couples Therapy with Billy Bush, Doug mentioned that his age-gap relationship with Courtney was modeled after John and Bo Derek, whom I wrote about in The Allure of Nymphets, where I related that Bo had to avoid being prosecuted for statutory rape after he bedded the 16-year-old future 10 star by fleeing the country to Germany until Bo turned 18. Doug mentioned in the interview that John and Bo were married for 22 years and that Bo held John's hand on his deathbed.

I was shocked by Billy Bush's defensive, harsh, and antagonistic attitude towards Doug during the Couples Therapy segment. Not once did Billy praise Doug for getting Courtney's parents’ blessing and for waiting to have sex with Courtney until after they were married. However, Billy only chuckled during ”Grab ’em by the Pussy” Gate.

In addition, Doug mentioned the age-gap relationship between Celine Dion and René Angélil. Doug related that 38-year-old René met Celine when she was 12. René and Celine began a(n) (open) relationship when Celine was 20. And they eventually wed and were married for over 20 years until René’s death.

During the Couples Therapy segment, Courtney shared with Billy that, despite being 16, she knew what she wanted and that Doug, despite being 51, was the love of her life. Coutney shared:
“I knew what I wanted [...] I wanted to save myself until I was married [...] That meant so much to me that I found the love of my life. I married him at 16. I knew what I wanted.”

In 2012, Courtney and Doug appeared on Funny or Die’s “The Donny Clay Show with Courtney Stodden”. On the episode, while Doug looked on encouragingly, Courtney posed in a red bikini while Donny Clay (Jason Alexander) examined her 17-year-old breasts with a mobile phone.

Recently, Courtney posted on Instagram (July 20, 2026) that, in hindsight, it’s “impossible” for her to understand how Jason Alexander was allowed to “repeatedly” rub his phone across her teen breasts, because she was a minor and she didn’t have any “legal power”. Courtney posted:
I was 17 years old in this photo. The older I get, the more impossible this is to understand. During this comedy sketch, Jason Alexander repeatedly rubbed his phone across my breasts while saying there was “no signal” in my head but “plenty of signal” in my chest. Later in the sketch, he joked that when I turned 18 he’d like to take me behind the couch and “have his way” with me. IMDb credits him as one of the writers of the episode. As an adult, that fact has become harder—not easier—for me to understand. I was a minor. I didn’t have the legal power to decide whether I wanted to participate. The contracts were signed by adults. The paycheck went to Doug. The production moved forward. I was the only child in the room.

Looking back now, I don’t see comedy. I see a 17-year-old girl whose body became part of an adult joke. People still say, “You chose to be there.” Legally, I couldn’t make those decisions for myself. That’s the point. I can’t change what happened to me but I can ask myself: How did so many adults look at a minor and decide this was acceptable? [...]
Per TMZ, Jason Alexander apologized to Courtney by stating: "Looking back at the comedy sketch in which Ms. Stodden and I participated in 2012, I completely agree that it was inappropriate and I truly regret it."

Rhetorical question: Would Courtney condone having her breasts rubbed by Jason Alexander if she were 18?

November 1, 2013: Celebrity Big Brother and The First Split

A few months after Courtney appeared on Celebrity Big Brother and after almost three years of marriage, Courtney and Doug separated. Courtney shared with E! News that their age-gap was the main cause of the separation. Courtney said, “When I was 16, I got my marriage license instead of my driver’s license, come on!” However, less than a year later, Courtney and Doug were back together, and they made plans to renew their vows.

2015–2016: Sex Tape

In May of 2015, Vivid Entertainment released Courtney Uncovered: The Courtney Stodden Sex Tape, which was a solo sex tape made by Courtney “for charity” in which by then-20-year-old Courtney engaged in explicit auto-stimulation.

May 2016: The Vow Renewal and Pregnancy

In May of 2016, Courtney announced that she was four weeks pregnant and that to celebrate their fifth anniversary, she and Doug would have a vow renewal; however, Courtney lost the baby.
2016–2020: The Final Split

Courtney and Doug separated again in 2016, and signed divorce papers in March 2018. Consequently, in January 2018, due to depression and anxiety, per A&E, Courtney, via an Instagram post, begged Doug “for [a] reconciliation, but their separation continued.”

In April 2019, Courtney shared with “BuzzFeed News that she was taking her time with the divorce because she still loved Hutchison.” Courtney shared:
“I know that I love him so much, and I think he’s also ingrained in me because I was 16,” she said. “He has his thumbprint all over my spirit, and that part is hard for me to grow out of. He’s in my identity. If he wasn’t the person he is, I would say absolutely he took advantage of me. But the situation was so unique, right or wrong.”
However, after almost nine years, their divorce was finalized in March 2020.

In their first interview after they were married, Courtney informed an ABC News reporter that she was a virgin when she married Doug and, consequently, God rewarded her with a gift, her soulmate Doug. Courtney said,
“I was a virgin when I married him. I knew that if I kept that I would really be blessed with a gift. And God did. He blessed me with my soul mate.”
However, in a more recent interview with ABC News (March 21, 2025) report “Courtney Stodden reflects on grooming claims and being a teen bride”, Courtney related that, although she was in love with Doug, it was only because he groomed her by making her feel happy and special.
Courtney, “When you’re in love and you're underage, you’re like, ‘Oh, this is my first love!’”

ABC News reporter, “Were you in love?”

Courtney, “I thought I was. I was in love with what he groomed me into believing was true [love]. And I was in love with feeling so happy. Feeling so special.”
Thus, it’s safe to infer that if Courtney were 18 and Doug made her feel so happy and so special, she would not have considered it to be grooming, which is intriguing considering the fact that, per Courtney’s mother, Doug: “offered to step away from Stodden until she was 18”.

Famous Age-Gap Couple: NFL Legend Tom Brady (48) and Influencer Alix Earle (25)

Alex Ross posted on People “Tom Brady, 48, and Alix Earle, 25, Spotted Cozying Up in St. Barths Club on New Year's Eve: The former NFL star and the influencer were seen dancing together as they rang in 2026 (January 1, 2026)

Tom Brady (48) and Alix Earle (25) "Cozying Up" in St. Barths

The use of “cozying up” must be in reference to Alix whispering into Tom’s ear and sensuously rubbing his back.  Ross reported:

Tom Brady and Alix Earle were spotted ringing in 2026 together.

A source confirms to PEOPLE that the former Patriots quarterback, 48, and the influencer, 25, were [...] in St. Barths on Dec. 31 where they were hanging out and looking cozy.

In videos obtained by PEOPLE, Earle and Brady can be seen chatting and dancing together. At one point, Earle flashes Brady a grin and can also be seen leaning over to whisper something in Brady's ear while she rubs her hand along his back.

However, Alix wasn’t the only member of the 23-year age-gap couple to openly show signs of affection, because Tom was spotted sensually capturing Alix’s waist, which was referenced in Wiktoria Gucia’s post on The Daily Beast “Tom Brady, 48, Spotted Getting Cozy With Influencer Half His Age: The former NFL quarterback was seen grabbing the social media influencer’s waist as they whispered to each other on New Year’s Eve. (Jan. 1 2026) Gucia reported:

Tom Brady was spotted getting cozy with a social media influencer half his age on New Year’s Eve.

In a video obtained by TMZ, the 48-year-old former quarterback can be seen dancing in St. Barths with 25-year-old Alix Earle, who rose to fame on TikTok and competed on Season 34 of Dancing with the Stars. Earle then whispers something in Brady’s ear while rubbing his back.

In another video, Brady can be seen grabbing Earle’s waist as they chat back and forth.

Interestingly, not only did Gucia note that Alix’s age is half Tom’s age, but she also related that Alix’s father is only two years older than Tom, which clearly doesn’t appear to be an issue for Alix.

Famous Age-Gap Marriage: White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt (28) and Nicholas Riccio (60)

Hannah Sacks posted on People, “Karoline Leavitt, 28, Expecting Baby No. 2 with Husband Nicholas Riccio, (60)”. (December 26, 2025) And Rebecca Aizin posted on People, “Who Is Karoline Leavitt's Husband? All About Nicholas Riccio and His Relationship with the White House Press Secretary”. (December 26, 2025)

Aizin reported that 25-year-old Karoline Leavitt and ≈ 57-year-old Nicholas Riccio, a real estate developer, met at a restaurant in New Hampshire in 2022 while Karoline was running for a Congressional seat. Karoline shared on The Megyn Kelly Show,

“A mutual friend of ours hosted an event at a restaurant that he owns up in New Hampshire and invited my husband,” she recalled. “I was speaking. We met and we were acquainted as friends."

(Karoline won the Republican nomination, but she ultimately lost the Congressional seat to Democrat Chris Pappas.)

Karoline said that she and Nicholas may have an “atypical love story” but that, despite his age, Nicholas is “incredible” and “the best dad ever”. Karoline said,

“I mean it's a very atypical love story but he's incredible.”

“He's the father of my child and he's the best dad I could ever ask for.”

27-year-old Karoline married 59-year-old Nicholas in January of 2025, but they had a son, Niko, the previous year.

Aizin wrote that Karoline related that telling her parents about her 32-year age-gap relationship with Nicholas was a "challenging conversation." However, Karoline elaborated on the Pod Force One with Miranda Devine that after her parents got to know Nicholas, his character, and how much he adored Karoline, “it became quite easy for them” to be accepting. Karoline said,

"But then, of course, once they got to know him and saw who he is as a man, and his character and how much he adores me, I think it became quite easy for them.”

Lastly, Sacks reported that on December 26, 2025, 28-year-old Karoline announced that she was expecting her second child with 60-year-old Nicholas.

Famous Age-Gap Relationships: Brad Pitt (24) and Shalane McCall (15) | Pitt (26) and Juliette Lewis (16)

Here's IMDb's plot summary for Once Upon a Time ... in Hollywood (2019):

A faded television actor [Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio)] and his stunt double [Cliff Booth] strive to achieve fame and success in the film industry during the final years of Hollywood's Golden Age in 1969 Los Angeles.

In the film, the infamous Manson Family played a bloody role. In one scene, Cliff, who was played by 56-year-old Brad Pitt, gave Pussycat (Margaret Qualley), an underage teen member of the Manson Family, a ride to the Spahn Ranch, which was where the Manson Family resided.

During the ride, possibly as a means of paying her fare, Pussycat asked Cliff , “Want me to suck your cock while driving?” However, Cliff refused Pussycat’s offer, because he didn’t believe that she was, at least, 18. Thereby, Cliff implied that if Pussycat were, at least, 18, he would have allowed her to perform oral while he drove. Interestingly, Pussycat implied that, in general, men didn’t bother to inquire about her age. Here's the dialogue:

Pussycat, “Want me to suck your cock while driving?”

Cliff Booth, “How old are you?”

Pussycat, “What?”

Cliff Booth, “How old are you?”

Pussycat, “Wow, man. First time anybody asked that in a long time.”

Cliff Booth, “What's the answer?”

Pussycat, “Okay, we gonna play kiddie games? Eighteen. Feel better?”

Cliff Booth, “You got some I.D., you know, like, a driver's license or something?”

Pussycat, “Are you joking?”

Cliff Booth, “No, I'm not. I need to see something official that verifies that you're eighteen, which you don't have because you're not.”

Subsequently, in response to having her oral offered refused, Pussycat stated that she was not “too young to fuck” Cliff but that Cliff was “too old to fuck” her.

Pussycat, “Obviously. I’m not too young to fuck you. But you’re too old to fuck me.”

Shalane McCall and Brad Pitt

In a double bit of art imitating life, back in 1987, 24-year-old Brad Pitt played Randy and 15-year-old Shalane McCall played Charlotte on the prime time soap opera Dallas, where Randy and Charlotte had an age-gap relationship in which they shared an age-gap kiss and love scene.

In terms of the kiss, Charlotte had Randy over to her house while her parents were away, but to Charlotte’s dismay, her mother and Ray, her step-father, returned home a day early and, consequently, witnessed Charlotte and Randy kissing passionately.

Later, a furious Ray caught Charlotte and Randy making out on the floor of the barn, but Charlotte didn’t understand why Ray was furious, because, as she opined, they were just “fooling around”.

Reportedly, McCall shared with People magazine (1988) that filming romantic scenes with Pitt (i.e., a much older man) wasn’t awkward. McCall reportedly shared:

“I met him an hour before shooting. But it wasn't awkward. We were laughing and kidding around.”

However, Cherie Holton, McCall’s mother, reportedly related to People that her daughter felt some “anxiety” about kissing Pitt, because McCall was inexperienced. Cherie Holton shared:

“I can tell you there was anxiety on Chellain's part. It's not cool at her age to admit how inexperienced you are. She's only kissed about three boys in her life.”

In the W Magazine piece “Brad Pitt Tries to Find the Music in Each Day” (Jan. 9, 2023), Pitt reminisced over his age-gap love scene with McCall, which he referred to as “frolicking” “in the hay in a barn”.

W Magazine: What was your first love scene?

Pitt: It would have been in the show Dallas. I had to roll around in the hay in a barn. I don’t think I had a line. I was just rolling and frolicking.

Juliette Lewis and Brad Pitt

Brad Pitt and Shalane McCall had an age-gap affair off-screen as well. They openly dated for about a year until, at the age of 17, McCall married the musician Trent Valladares. And in 1989, 26-year-old Pitt started dating 16-year-old Juliette Lewis.

Amanda (Juliette Lewis) "Too Young to Die?"

Pitt and Lewis met on the set of Too Young to Die?. In the film, Lewis played Amanda, a 15-year-old sex worker, who had an age-gap relationship with her pimp Billy (Pitt) and with Mike (≈ 34-year-old Michael O'Keefe).

Rain (Juliette Lewis) "Husbands and Wives"

Interestingly, a year before Lewis and Pitt ended their age-gap affair, Lewis played Rain in Woody Allen's Husbands and Wives (1992). In the film, Rain had an age-gap affair with Gabe Roth (Woody Allen), her Columbia College literature professor. And she had age-gap affairs with her friend’s father, her father's business partner, and with her analyst.

Claudia (Kirsten Dunst) and Louis (Pitt) "Interview with the Vampire"

Lastly, a year after Pitt and Lewis broke up, Pitt played Louis in Interview with the Vampire (1994) In the film, Louis and Lestat (Tom Cruise) conspired to turn Claudia (Kirsten Dunst) into a vampire. While Lestat and Claudia’s relationship was platonic, Louis and Claudia's relationship was physical. So much so that in a scene, which is controversial to this day, Claudia (i.e., 11-year-old Dunst) passionately kissed Louis (i.e., ≈ 30-year-old Pitt).

Famous Age-Gap Romances: The Kennedys | Old Man Joe, JFK and Michael

Joseph P. Kennedy Senior: “Old Man Joe”\“The Old Bugger”

About 20 years ago, I used to frequent the non-fiction section of the Central Brooklyn Public Library where, one weekend, I picked up a copy of Seymour M. Hersh's The Dark Side of Camelot. Besides the scintillating details of John F. Kennedy's (JFK’s) infidelities, a footnote on page 27 about JFK’s father, Joseph P. Kennedy Sr., left me gobsmacked.

Joseph P. Kennedy Sr

In the footnote, Hersh noted that “Old Man Joe” (i.e., 69-year-old Joseph P. Kennedy Sr.), after a round of golf, had boisterous sex with his teen caddie from the French Riviera, which could be overheard by Old Man Joe’s wife Rose Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson and Bobby Baker.

No outsider can fully comprehend the dynamics of another family’s life, but outsiders were often shocked by what they encountered in the Kennedy household. In 1957 Lyndon Johnson, the Senate majority leader, was asked to make a speech in Palm Beach. It seemed only natural when Rose Kennedy telephoned and invited him to come to the family’s beachfront home for lunch. Johnson, recovering from a serious heart attack, was accompanied on the trip by Lady Bird, his wife; Bobby Baker, his aide and confidant; and Senator George Smathers, of Florida.

“So we went over for lunch,” Baker recalled in an interview for this book.

Rose Kennedy, gracious and charming, was alone.

Suddenly, Baker said, “Old Man Joe comes in with a seventeen- or eigh-teen-year-old girl. Doesn’t say boo. Walks right in and goes upstairs” and engages in what, clearly and noisily, is sexual intercourse.

“Here you have the majority leader of the Senate and he and Jack had a great relationship,” Baker told me.

“I thought it was the rudest thing I’ve ever seen.”

The lunch went on as if nothing had happened. Baker learned later, he said, that the young woman was Joe Kennedy’s caddy from the French Riviera, where the Kennedys maintained a vacation home.

About ten years later, over dinner at a David Chang restaurant in midtown, a Berkeley professor suggested that I reference Truman Capote’s Answered Prayers, which has been described as a nonfiction novel.

In the book, Lady Ina Coolbirth shared that when she was 18 and a friend of Joseph P. Kennedy Sr’s daughter, she attended a sleepover at the Kennedy’s house where “the old bugger” sexually assaulted her while the rest of the Kennedy’s slept soundly.

Lady Ina Coolbirth, “Have I ever told you about the time he assaulted me? When I was eighteen and a guest in his house, a friend of his daughter Kek …”

“… the old bugger slipped into my bedroom. It was about six o’clock in the morning, the ideal hour if you want to catch someone really slugged out, really by complete surprise, and when I woke up he was already between the sheets with one hand over my mouth and the other all over the place. The sheer ballsy gall of it—right there in his own house with the whole family sleeping all around us.”

Coolbirth went on to excuse the old bugger’s audacious behavior by implying that Kennedy men just have to have sex with as many women as possible.

“But all those Kennedy men are the same; they’re like dogs, they have to pee on every fire hydrant.

Coolbirth even opined that the old bugger should be given credit for his audacious assault. And that when she volunteered not to scream, he was grateful.

“Still, you had to give the old guy credit, and when he saw I wasn’t going to scream he was so grateful …”

However, Coolbirth was very disappointed that Kennedy Sr did not acknowledge her post-sex with at least “a wink or a nod”. And that he didn’t reward her for pretending to enjoy the age-gap sex with at least a “bauble, [or] a cigarette box” as a “sentimental acknowledgment”.

“Afterward—can you imagine?—he pretended nothing had happened, there was never a wink or a nod, just the good old daddy of my schoolgirl chum. It was uncanny and rather cruel; after all, he’d had me and I’d even pretended to enjoy it: there should have been some sentimental acknowledgement, a bauble, a cigarette box …”

Interestingly, Capote based Coolbirth’s character on a New York City socialite whom reportedly shared the story in confidence with Capote.

John F. Kennedy

Mimi Alford wrote in Once Upon a Secret: My Affair with President John F. Kennedy and Its Aftermath that when she was 18 and a student at Miss Porter's Boarding School, she visited the White House. Consequently, a year later, Mimi received an unsolicited phone call to do an internship at the White House.

Per Once Upon a Secret, four days after Mimi started her press office internship, the then-19-year-old received a phone call from Dave Powers. Powers was described as one of the President’s closest aides, his official title was Special Assistant to the President, he was known as The First Friend, and Mimi wrote: “Above all, Dave Powers’s job was to make the President happy.”

“Want to have a swim?” asked a male voice on the other end of the line.

“Who is this?” I asked, though the voice sounded familiar.

“It’s Dave Powers.”

Mimi Alford and President JFK

After Powers assured Mimi that there would be other young women (i.e., Priscilla “Fiddle” Wear and Jill Cowan - former roommates at Goucher College) and bikinis at the pool, he arrived at her desk “within minutes” to escort her to the White House’s pool were Mimi followed enthusiastic then-23-year-old Fiddle and Jill into the dressing room. (Note: The pool's murals “with palm trees swaying in the breeze and puffy sailboats moving through turquoise water” were a gift of Joseph Kennedy Sr.”)

Fiddle and Jill didn’t waste any time wondering; they just started stripping down and leaping into suits. Their enthusiasm was contagious, so I reached for the first suit at hand.

After leaping into a bikini, Mimi “stole a glance” at herself and admired her “good posture” and “long legs” that “played up” her “[...] height and slimness.”

After JFK walked into the pool area, Mimi noted that he was: “[...] handsome, tan, in a suit and tie.”

“Mind if I join you?” he asked.

Fiddle, ever confident, said, “Our pleasure, Mr. President.”

After JFK changed into “dark swimming trunks”, Mimi noted that: “He was remarkably fit—flat stomach, toned arms—for a forty-five-year-old man.”

The President slid into the pool and floated up to me. “It’s Mimi, isn’t it?” he said.

“Yes, sir,” I said. “Mimi Beardsley.”

After some brief bantering, JFK said, “Well, nice to see you, Mimi,” “and he floated away toward Fiddle and Jill.”

Minutes later, the pool party was over, Mimi changed out of her wet suit and returned to her desk. But before her hair could dry, Mimi received another call from The First Friend whom invited Alford to a “welcome-to-the-staff get-together” in JFK’s family residence, which Mimi wrote was: “[...]  impossible to turn down.” Alford wrote:

For the second time in a few hours, I followed him to an unfamiliar part of the White House.

When the elevator door opened on the second floor it finally dawned on me that I was standing in the family residence. It was a grand, elegant space, an oasis of calm [...]

Naturally, Fiddle and Jill were already there. And strategically, Powers offered Mimi a daiquiri, and she did not protest when Powers strategically refilled her cold glass.

Strategically, Mimi learned from Fiddle and Jill that:

Mrs. Kennedy and the two children, four-year-old Caroline and eighteen-month-old John John, had left for Glen Ora, the house the Kennedys rented in Virginia, where the First Lady kept her horses.

When JFK entered the room: “[...] everyone rose to their feet, as if “Hail to the Chief” had begun to play [...]” Subsequently, JFK asked, “Would you like a tour of the residence, Mimi?” Mimi naively thought: “A private tour of the White House from the President of the United States. This was an extraordinary invitation.”

45-year-old JFK led 19-year-old Mimi across the central hall into Mrs. Kennedy’s “very private” bedroom.

“This is Mrs. Kennedy’s bedroom,” he said.”

“Beautiful light, isn’t it?” he said. I agreed.

“This is a very private room,” he said.

Seconds later, JFK was undressing Mimi.

The next thing I knew he was standing in front of me, his face inches away, his eyes staring directly into mine. He placed both hands on my shoulders and guided me toward the edge of the bed. I landed on my elbows, frozen halfway between sitting up and lying on my back. Slowly, he unbuttoned the top of my shirtdress and touched my breasts. Then he reached up between my legs and started to pull off my underwear. I couldn’t believe what was happening.

Mimi wrote that she was surprised that she began to undress.

But more: I couldn’t believe what I did next. I finished unbuttoning my shirt dress and let it fall off my shoulders. He pulled down his pants and then he was above me.

Audaciously, JFK took Mimi’s virginity upon his wife’s private bed and, thereby, consummated their 18-month-long age-gap affair.

“He paused briefly when he felt some physical resistance.

“Haven’t you done this before?” he asked.

“No,” I said.

 “Are you okay?” he asked.

[...]

I nodded, propped up on my elbows.

After he finished and hitched up his pants, he smiled at me and pointed to a door in the corner.

“There’s the bathroom if you need it,” he said.

In the end, JFK bid Mimi adieu and ordered a car to take her home.

“Good night, Mimi,” he said as the door opened. “I hope you’re okay.”

“I’m fine, Mr. President.”

Downstairs, a guard showed me to the South Portico, and there, as promised, was the car to take me home.”

Mimi related on NBC’s Rock Center (2013) that when Jackie O asked President Kennedy to let her stay with him in the White House during the height of the Cuban Missile Crisis, Kennedy summoned Mimi to the White House instead.

Michael Kennedy

Michael Kennedy and Marisa Verrochi

About five years ago, I was reading the New York magazine feature “What Hope Hicks Knows” (March 18, 2018) when I read about Martin Gould, a New York based reporter, whom outed Hicks and Rob Porter, the White House staff secretary Hicks had been dating, in the Daily Mail, but more relevantly, I learned that Gould:

“[…] was charged with driving Victoria Gifford Kennedy, the estranged wife of Michael Kennedy, off the road in pursuit of a photo after she’d left her husband over his affair with [Marisa Verrochi] their [14-year-old] babysitter.”

According to Margaret Carlson’s CNN piece “Divorce, Kennedy-style” (May 12, 1997) Michael Kennedy’s five-year affair with MarisaVerrochi began when Marisawas Michael’s 14-year-old babysitter. Carlson wrote:

[...] Michael Kennedy, the sixth child of Robert Kennedy [and six-term Congressman], who once seemed to have his father's quiet passion without the Kennedy sense of entitlement [...] had a five-year affair with a girl who baby-sat his three children at the family home in Cohasset, Mass., beginning when she was a 14-year-old middle school student.

Carlson related that the Boston Globe reported (April 25, 1997) that Victoria Denise Gifford, Michael’s wife and daughter of ABC sportscaster Frank Gifford:

“[...] discovered [37-year-old] Michael in bed with the teenage babysitter in January 1995, an incident Michael blamed on alcohol.”

Michael blamed the age-gap adultery on alcohol, he enrolled in a rehab problem, naturally, the Prosecutor Jeffrey Locke did not press charges of statutory rape, and Michael continued seeing Marisa. So much so that the New York Daily News reported that when Marisa was 17: “[…] Kennedy flaunted the relationship by taking the teenager along on a whitewater rafting trip to Maine with friends where they shared a tent […]” Carlson elaborated:

The baby-sitter story broke in the Boston Globe on April 25, just as Michael and Victoria Gifford Kennedy, the daughter of ABC sportscaster Frank Gifford, were officially separating. The paper reported that Victoria had discovered Michael in bed with the teenage babysitter in January 1995, an incident Michael blamed on alcohol. He then enrolled in a rehab program. But apparently, the two continued to be seen together around the wealthy seaside town and, according to a report in the Herald, even went on a whitewater rafting trip, organized by his closest friends, and shared a tent.

Interestingly, Carlson reported that Marisa's father was a prominent businessman. Consequently, Marisa had: “[...] an upbringing that included a uniformed chauffeur.” And Carlson reported that Marissa’s family was so close with Michael Kennedy’s family that: "Michael Kennedy would [strategically] call her parents and say they were going to be out late and that she should just sleep over."

The age-gap affair ended after Marisa started her freshman year at Boston University.

And speaking of JFK and swimming pools, per Darwin Porter and Danforth Prince’s book Elizabeth Taylor: There is Nothing Like a Dame, 16-year-old Elizabeth Taylor had a swimming pool threesome with her A Date with Judy (1948) co-star 29-year-old Robert Stack and 31-year-old congressman John F. Kennedy.
