American Eagle's Peace, Love & Aerie: Youthful Undies in Times Square

American Eagle Outfitters (AEO) posted on AE.com: "Our purpose is to show the world that there’s REAL power in the optimism of youth."

AEO is the parent company of Aerie, which specializes in leggings, swimwear, bras, underwear and the sort.

And per Michael Barbaro's New York Times piece "What Women Want", AEO is a "teenage apparel retailer" with Aerie "[...] focused on undergarments for consumers 15 to 25."

With that "said", as I was recently walking to the MoMA, I was surprised to see a video above AEO's Time Square location for Aerie's new Peace, Love & Aerie campaign that projects three young women in their "youth", between the ages of 15 and 25, jumping to expose their Aerie "undies". In addition, a frame of the video is projected, which allows tourists and locals to get a closer look.

Aerie's Peace, Love & Aerie campaign is yet another example that even teens and (young) women are attracted to the allure of a nymphet and youth. And marketers take advantage of that attraction to advertise and, thereby, sell goods (e.g., leggings, swimwear, bras, underwear and the sort).
