In the article “OnlyFans on Campus” that was published in the September 2025 issue of Town & Country, Ian Frisch profiled Shayna Loren - an advertising student at Boston University, “a highly selective, Top 50 institution that charges more than $91,000 per year”.

Here’s the article’s deck:

Remember when coeds made some extra cash stacking books at the library or working a shift at a restaurant? Now, with tuition skyrocketing and talk of entrepreneurship and fast and easy millions in the air, students—including those attending highly selective schools—are turning to a new line of work [OnlyFans] to pay the [high school and] college bills.

Frisch wrote that in Shayna’s Boston University (BU) public speaking class, Shayna, a BU Presidential Scholar, did a presentation titled “Influencing: The Perfect Way to Never Use Your College Degree”, where: “She spoke about the business she was running right now: content creation for social media, including OnlyFans.” Frisch wrote:

And then, Public Speaking, where [Shayna] Loren had to give a presentation about what she hoped her future career might be, and why it was a worthwhile pursuit.

When it was her turn to speak, [Shayna] Loren got up in front of the class and connected her laptop to the projector. Her presentation was called “Influencing: The Perfect Way to Never Use Your College Degree.” [Shayna] Loren wasn’t going to give a presentation about what she hoped to do after college. She spoke about the business she was running right now: content creation for social media, including OnlyFans, the subscription-based website that has become inextricably linked to adult content.

Shayna shared with her professor and classmates that she has made: “[...] more than $1.1 million in earnings over the past three years—after OnlyFans took its 20 percent cut.”

If you did the math correctly, you would have come to the conclusion that Shayna was 18 and a high school student when she began posting adult content (e.g., topless) on OnlyFans. Unsurprisingly, Shayna made a whopping $50,000 during her second month on OnlyFans. Frisch wrote:

[Shayna] Loren, 21 and starting her senior year this month, has been doing OnlyFans since her senior year of high school. Loren, 21 and starting her senior year this month, has been doing OnlyFans since her senior year of high school. A natural entrepreneur (she previously ran her own handmade soap company), she saw the sums of money that could be made through online content—especially if she was willing to go topless [...] “My second month on OnlyFans, I made $50,000,” she says. “At that point I couldn’t stop.”

“I’m comfortable showing, like, my boobs,” she says.

Understandably, Shayna’s parents, “her mother is a doctor, her father a marketing entrepreneur”, could not cover the over $91,000 BU tuition; however, that was not a problem, because by Shayna’s sophomore year: “Her OnlyFans income could cover it.”

Of course, Shayna isn’t the first coed to make adult content to pay for college. Frisch reminded us about Belle Knox, whom became a teen porn star when she was an 18-year-old freshman Blue Devil, and Maya Moren, whom pays for her healthcare degree with her OnlyFans earnings . Frisch wrote:

Turning to adult entertainment to help pay for college isn’t a new thing; Duke University student Belle Knox became a national phenomenon in 2014 for doing porn as a way to avoid student loans.

For [Shayna] Loren and some students like her, OnlyFans has become a 21st-century gold rush, a get-rich-quick scheme in the internet age that can provide relief from college’s skyrocketing cost. “And it’s not just school. It’s books, a computer, room and board—all those other things you need,” says Maya Morena, who is pursuing a healthcare degree on the East Coast. “I pay for all of it from doing OnlyFans.

Strategically, Shayna uses the allure of sexualized college girls, and “plays up her college girl persona, which has become a core element of her brand” to get money from her “71,300 OnlyFans subscribers.” Shayna shared with Frisch:

“My followers are superengaged with my everyday life, so showing that side of my college experience is very valuable.”

In the end, Frisch posed some interesting rhetorical questions about whether or not Shayna is engaged in (teen) prostitution: 

Is selling topless photos on OnlyFans a form of prostitution? [...] Is it pornography if it’s self-produced? There are no easy answers to these questions. Still, the highly subjective nature of what constitutes pornography or sex work allows individual creators to formulate their own definitions of how they monetize their bodies.

Unconvincingly, Shayna opined that her OnlyFans adult content is not pornography but is simply (nude) modeling. Frisch wrote: 

Loren, for example, considers the content she posts on OnlyFans more akin to modeling (à la Playboy, for which she has previously posed) rather than pornography.

Viral TikTok Song: Eliza McLamb's "[Teen] Porn Star Tits"

We learned from Lena Geller’s IndyWeek piece “Talking with Eliza McLamb About Farming, TikTok Fame, and Playing a Hometown Show” (12/14/2022) that Eliza McLamb, a singer-songwriter, podcaster and Substacker, is considered a “Generation Z mouthpiece”, which is due to McLamb's song “Porn Star Tits'' that went viral on TikTok in 2020 when McLamb was 19. Consequently, McLamb’s music career was launched, which she's “very grateful for”.

Here’s McLamb’s “[Teen] Porn Star Tits” - in summary with the lyrics:

A 10-year-old girl was told by a man on the internet that she had porn star tits. (Note: Per the Colorado Department of Education, a 10-year-old would be in the 4th or 5th grade. And one can infer from this verse that the man was conversing with the preteen via a webcam.) The girl didn't understand what porn star tits were, but she did know that the man was “getting off” (i.e., self-gratificating). Consequently, the nymphet donned a bikini top, applied some makeup, and in an attempt to get more attention, went to a Gamestop, which is mostly patronized by boys.

McLamb Explained "Porn Star Tits"

McLamb explained “Porn Star Tits” in a TikTok where she said that a lot of young girls are hypersexual, because it’s rewarding and “truly validating”. And she strongly disagreed with feminists whom say that young girls aren’t sexual. McLamb countered that teens “do act sexually”, because they yearn to be validated as “desirable “object[s]” :

“A lot of girls become hypersexual at a young age - not because of daddy issues or because of some deeper narcissistic wound of ego but because that behavior is rewarded by your culture. And it is truly validating.”

“I  became disillusioned with a lot of feminist discussions around this issue because it didn’t make sense to me. They say, “Young girls don’t like to be objectified. Young girls aren’t sexual. You’re sexualizing them.”

“But that didn’t make sense to me. Young girls do act sexually. Young girls do seek validation based on their status as a desirable ‘object’” 

Lastly, Sloan Pecchia posted on Uproxx: “Eliza McLamb Is Leaving TikTok Behind For Something Deeper On ‘Going Through It’ (January 24, 2024). In the piece, McLamb confessed that even though she has distanced herself from “Porn Star Tits”, which by 2023 had been streamed approximately four million times, she strategically included it on Memos, her first EP. #teensexsells Unsurprisingly, it worked. 

McLamb’s first EP, Memos, featured her most commercially successful song to date, “Porn Star Tits.” This song in particular had gone viral on TikTok when she first wrote it in 2020, but when deciding what songs to include on the track listing, it was not at the top of the list. However, it seemed she felt obligated to include it, as it initially helped drive her success. “I wanted to Trojan horse the rest of the work through that song, being like, ‘Okay people listened to this song. Maybe they’ll listen to the rest of it,’” McLamb explains. That tactic seems to have worked as the success of Memos [...]

Like Spotify, McLamb may have “distanced” herself from “Porn Star Tits”, but some teen TikTokers are still close to the suggestive song.  

Times Square: School Girls and Teen Porn Galore

We went to the Karma in Alphabet City slash the LES to see Jane Dickson's Promised Land, which we learned from the gallery's press release was inspired by photographs Dickson took from her Times Square apartment and/or from One Times Square. 

Specifically, we went to see Dickson's School Girls (2023), which is an oil stick on linen painting that profiles the Anco Theatre’s marquee where That’s My Daughter and Schoolgirls XXX were playing when both films took advantage of the allure of nymphets to sell tickets.

Of course, the Anco’s marquee wasn’t the only theater in Times Square that advertised nubile nymphets and/or salacious schoolgirls. Slate's ICYMI: Why Are Adults Obsessed with Teen Sex?

On Slates ICYMI podcast, "The Girlboss-ification of Casual Sex" (April 23, 2022), Rachelle and Sarah Marshall attempted to answer "the big question".

Why are adults so obsessed with how much sex teens are having? i.e., "[...] how and why and where are teens fucking?"

Before answering the question, Rachelle described the history behind what she referred to as "The Invention of Teenager" where she related that the teenager is an invention of capitalism:

"It's kinda important to note that teenager as a concept didn't exist until about the 1940s [...] it's all about capitalism baby [...] they became their own distinct social class because at this point teens were another market to access [...] It's kinda all a big marketing scam."

And Rachelle went on to relate that before the invention of the teenager, teen sex wasn't a concern to "adults" because it was normal for teens to have [post-marital] sex and concieve: 

"Before the invention of teenager [...] teen sex wasn't a concern because "[married] children were having children and that was just normal."

Marshall said that the Internet gives teens "unthinking access to sexual content" that they are experienced at accessing:

"Once the Internet entered the picture, suddenly it's a whole new rodeo; so, the Internet offers a sexual experience that's entirely unmitigated by geographic boundaries, by parents [...] Before the Internet, teens could only get sexual content via physical objects (e.g., Their dad's Playboy magazine); however, the Internet offers unthinking access to sexual content, which teens are more proficient than [most] of their parents at accessing."

Rachelle shared that she began watching porn as a child and that the extremely graphic but viral Two Girls One Cup was viewed in her middle school band room:

"[...] Two Girls One Cup was passed around in my middle school band room [...] but, like, thinking about Two Girls One Cup in the band room - I'm just like, "Wow, that's cute." Like, I'm sure there's something far worse out there right now, and it's just all normal, and it washes over you."

Rachelle and Marshall opined that the plethora of "The Dangers of Online" exposes are full of hyperbole, which Marshall said is a variation of the same fear that came out after teen dramas became "ubiquitous". Marshall referenced: Beverly Hills 90201, Dawson's Creek, Degrassi, The Secret Life of the American Teenager, Gossip Girl  and Euphoria.

And Marshal elaborated:

"These shows all helped build a cultural understanding of what teenagers are doing and that has always included [teen] sex."

In the end, Rachelle and Sarah Marshall didn't (clearly) answer their question: "Why are adults so obsessed with how much sex teens are having? i.e., "[...] how and why and where are teens fucking?" Of course, the answer is the allure of nymphets. 

Schulman's THIS BEAUTIFUL LIFE: The Prep School Girl\Teen Porn Star

Previously, we wrote about "Swiffergate", which we learned about from Zachary Kussin's New York Post post, "Con artist Danielle Miller, who flaunted lavish, lifestyle facing new reality — and needs a roommate", which is about “Swiffer Girl” (Danielle Miller). Kussin related that in 2004, Miller, an 8th grader at The Bronx's exclusive Horace Mann prep school, produced three (3) self-shot videos masturbating with and simulating fellatio on a Swiffer broom.

Gabrielle Bluestone elaborated on "Swiffergate" in her New York magazine piece, ‘I More So Consider Myself a Con Artist Than Anything’ What Danielle Miller learned at Horace Mann and Rikers" where Bluestone related that after Miller's crush shared the teen masturbation videos, (unsurprisingly) the videos went viral "among New York’s private-school students" and on the Internet:

Initially, Miller was distraught, but by 9th grade, she embraced the attention, and due to "Swiffergate", "Swiffer Girl" became a much sought after high school "It Girl" and teen porn star. 

And in Female Chauvinist Pigs: Women and the Rise of Raunch Culture, Ariel Levy elaborated on Miller's embraced fame as a prep school porn star, which included signing autographs.

Subsequently, Helen Schulman fictionalized "Swiffergate" and “Swiffer Girl” in This Beautiful Life. In the novel, Daisy Cavanaugh, an 8th grader at The Bronx's Wildwood high, is described as wearing purple lip gloss with clear braces, bleached blond hair and "tiny breast buds".

After she recorded, “Still think I’m too young?”, Daisy “[...] reached below her hemline and lifted up her (short) skirt [...]" to reveal her “[...] shaved pudenda [...]”. Then "[s]he reached out for a little toy baseball bat [...]", masturbated, and emailed the video to Jake - a 15-year-old Upper East Sider and sophomore at Wildwood.

Just like IRL, Daisy's selfie went viral. For example, nymphets were even viewing the video in the school's library: “The Upper School librarian had caught sight of the video over some girl’s shoulder on one of the school’s PCs and that was that.” At Wildwood the “lesbians and feminists” didn’t “get it” but the “Nice girls. PLEASURE (2021): L.A. Teen Porn Star Rises

In Pleasure (2021), Bella Cherry, a 19-year-old Swede, comes to L.A. to become a teen porn star. Initially, she doesn't condone the rough nature of porn, but Cherry comes to embrace the industry. 

And that about sums it up. Essentially, the movie is about Cherry's path to becoming a teen porn star; however, we would like to elaborate on the film's nympholepsy motif. For example, before Cherry's first scene, the director informs her that she's playing the role of an 18-year-old virgin who will be having sex with Brian - a middle-age man:

"So, Brian over here, this semi-creepy middle-aged man is gonna be fucking your sweet [...] 18-year-old brand new vigina."

However, Cherry forgets that she's playing an 18-year-old, and shares with the camera that she's 19, which is still "cool" to her middle-aged co-star:

"So what are you gonna do today?"

"I'm gonna do my first porn."

"First one huh? How old are your Bella Cherry?"

"I'm 19."

"19! Cool. Let's see the rest of you."

The fact that Cherry is shooting a scene with a middle-age man raises an interesting point. 

For instance, it's (ironically) common for members Gen Z and millennials to (openly) condone sex workers (i.e., teen porn stars, teen OnlyFans content creators, teen escorts, etc); however, members of Gen Z and millennials are typically and openly anti-age-gap relationships. 

Thus, like Cherry, teen porn stars can confortably film sex scenes multiple middle-aged men. (Note: The average heterosexual male porn star is in his mid-thirties with Manuel Jeannin, arguably the #1 heterosexual male porn star, sitting at a whopping 45-years-old.)

It's commonly (openly) acceptable for 18-year-old teens to provide explicit OnlyFans content for middle-age men. 

And one is commonly considered to be "pro sex worker" if she supports a teen whom has sex for money with middle-age men (i.e., escort). 

But it's commonly unacceptable to Gen Z, millennials, Gen X, and boomers for an 18-year-old to be in a romantic relationship with a middle-aged man. And, to the dismay of orthodox Muslims and (ultra) orthodox Jews, don't even think about condoning an age-gap marriage!

Back to Pleasure where in a subsequent scene, as Cherry is filmed with an iPhone while practicing fellatio on a banana, she's encouraged: "Maybe some old man will really like this." Maybe. 

Lastly and unsurprisingly, Pleasure was selected for the 2020 Cannes Film Festival, the 2021 Sundance Film Festival, and the film was nominated at the 2021 British Independent Film Awards.

Marie Calloway's WHAT PURPOSE DID I SERVE IN YOUR LIFE: Age-Gap Virgin Sex & Young Prostitution

Lena Dunham has been a reliable source for examples of nympholepsy in pop culture; thus, my nympholepsy radar went off when I read Dunham's tweet about Marie Calloway: "Her prose is crisp/subject matter titillating! 4 stars."  

Let's take a look at Calloway's titillating subject matter in what purpose did i serve you in your life - Calloway's biographical fiction\autofiction "novel'. 

In the first chapter, "portald, oregon 2008", Calloway described losing "her" 18-year-old virginity. Even though she "[...] had been watching pornography regularly since elementary school [...] ", she thought her first time having sex would be different:

Wait, did I mention that the man was a stranger:

However, within 48 hours, she emailed him for sex:

The next chapter is titled "sex work experience one". In the chapter, she made 200 pounds for having sex with a stuffy, bald and "two pump chump" middle-aged banker. 

The rest of the book is littered with graphic age-gap sex and peppered with her reasons for becoming a[n] (age-gap) prostitute, which are revealing  - yet not surprising:

I just want lots and lots of money and expensive things so I don’t ever have to be afraid of what’s going to happen to me again, no matter what I have to do to get it. 

I thought his cock tasted and smelled sweaty, but I thought of all the sushi and margaritas I would be able to buy after this and kept going.

Thus, unlike some young prostitutes who are forced into sex work (e.g., actress Demi Moore),, Calloway's character is like some of the Roman and Japanese teen prostitutes whom do it for luxury goods.  

And lastly, as for some age-gap relationship quotes:

His response felt awkward, and I wondered if he felt weird about me being so much younger than him, rather than excited like I had expected and hoped for.

The bartender asked to see our IDs. I wondered if we looked weird to him, or if it was typical for girls to go to bars with men twice their age in New York.

I felt like a lot of people were giving us dirty looks. I couldn’t tell if it was for smoking or for him being twice my age.

RED ROCKET (2021): The Making of a Texas Teen Porn Star

Richard Brody summarized Red Rocket well in his New Yorker review:

In the film, shortly after Strawberry informed Mikey, "I'll be 18 in three weeks," and Mikey confirmed, "Legal as an eagle," Strawberry grabbed Mikey's penis behind Donut Hole's counter. 

Subsequently, Mikey had Strawberry cease having teen sex with Nash whom became "clingy ass fuck" after Strawberry "[...] blew him at junior prom." In her Nylon piece, ‘RED ROCKET’ STAR SUZANNA SON IS THE NEXT BIG THING (Dec 8, 2021), Sophia June asked Suzanna Son (Strawberry):

Q: Your character is so naive, but so confident and really bold and smart. Do you think she’s aware that Mikey is using her and is she using him?

A: She’s super aware of it. She waited on that roller coaster to tell him that because she’s screwing him as much as he’s screwing her. And truly, he’s the naive one. She’s two steps ahead. She might like to play that she is a little bit coy and shy and young, but that’s her weapon. She weaponizes her cuteness.

Mare of Mare of Easttown

As hard as it is for (most) middle-aged women and teens boys to (openly) admit, nymphets can seduce men. And Son's assessment of Strawberry reminds me of novelist Robertson Davies' assessment of Lolita as: “[...] not [about] the corruption of an innocent child by a cunning adult, but [about] the exploitation of a weak adult by a corrupt child”. And Son reminded me of Mare of Mare of Easttown who said, "Trust me. Teenage girls are fucking sneaky."

Interestingly, of Mikey Saber, Brianna Zigler shared in her Gawker piece, "In ‘Red Rocket’, Mikey Saber Is a Very Bad Man: How refreshing" (Dec 10, 2021), that she found Mikey, refreshing, exhilarating and a hoot to root for:

It was both refreshing and exhilarating to watch an anti-hero go that low [...] it’s fun to root for a fictional character who is an endearing piece of shit, and boring to watch people become perfect moral agents.

Lastly, before it's release, Red Rocket was shown at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival where it was nominated for the Palme d'Or. And the Los Angeles Film Critics Association awarded 47-year-old Simon Rex Best Actor for his Mikey Saber portrayal.
