"Dream Story" and EYES WIDE SHUT's (Teen) Ladies of the Night

In Stanley Kubrick's Eyes Wide Shut (1999), Dr. Harford (Tom Cruise) went to the Rainbow costume boutique to purchase a cloak and mask to attend a masquerade (i.e., orgy). While perusing the racks, Milich, the boutique’s owner, discovered his young daughter (14-year-old Leelee Sobieski) in her bra and panties as she was involved in an age-gap three-way with two middle-aged Japanese men.

After Milich, understandably yet violently, confronted the Japanese men, Milich learned that the “young lady” (i.e., his “child”) invited the men to the age-gap three-way.

Japanese man, "Are you crazy? We were invited here by the young lady."

Milich replied, "Young lady. This is my daughter. Couldn't you see she's a child?"

Milich wasn’t naive; thus, he didn’t put the blame solely on the men, because he surmised that his daughter was to blame as well. Consequently, Milich attempted to corporally punish her, and he called her a “little whore” before she escaped to sensuously embrace Dr. Harford from behind for protection.

However, after Dr. Harford returned to the Rainbow, he observed Milich’s child exit the back room of the boutique with the two Japanese men in tow, which was following their apparent (off-screen) three-way. After the child lovingly embraced her father, he formally introduced her, still in her bra and panties, to Dr. Harford; thereby, revealing to filmgoers that Milich had come to condone his daughter’s salacious behavior.

Per the "Eyes Wide Shut, Part 1 (Erotic 90's, Part 20)" episode of the You Must Remember This podcast, Sobieski was 14-years-old when her Eyes Wide Shut scenes were filmed, but she was 16 when the film was released, which is when she appeared on the August 1999 cover of Details magazine with the leading lead article line: “READY OR NOT: LEELEE SOBIESKI GROWS UP FAST IN EYES WIDE SHUT”

Eyes Wide Shut is based on Arthur Schnitzler’s novella Dream Story. In the novella, Dr. Harford is Dr. Fridolin, Milich is Gibiser, and Milich’s daughter is a “little Pierrette” who was described as a "graceful little girl," a "young and charming girl, still almost a child”.

In the novella’s costume rental shop, Mr. Gibiser discovered his little Pierrette with “two judges in red robes”. Consequently, she disappeared, but she soon reappeared after “slithering out from under the table” in a “pair of white silk stockings”, and ran lovingly into the arms of Dr. Fridolin with her face powdered, her breasts scented, and her eyes filled with desire. Schnitzler wrote:

The little one pressed herself against Fridolin as if he had to protect her. Her small narrow face was white-powered, covered with some beauty spots, from her tender breasts rose a scent of roses and powder; her eyes smiled mischief and desire.

She looked up at him enticingly and childlike, as if spellbound.

Understandably, Mr. Gibiser threatened to call the police on the two judges in red, but the judges informed Mr. Gibiser that his little Pierrette initiated the age-gap affair.

“Gentlemen,” called Gibiser, “you will stay here until I hand you over to the police.”

“What are you thinking?” cried both. And as if from one mouth: “We followed an invitation from the young lady.”

Consequently, Gibiser called his daughter a “depraved creature” and sent her, “white and delicate”, off to bed.

However, by the next day, readers learned that Gibiser came to condone his daughter’s depraved behavior, because after one of the judges exited the little Pierrette’s bedroom, lit a (post sex) cigarette, and bid Gibiser adieu, Gibiser informed Dr. Harford that he and the judge had “come to an agreement by other means” (i.e., a financial agreement). Schnitzler wrote:

At that moment, the door leading to the inner rooms opened, and a young man in an open overcoat over his evening dress stepped out. Fridolin knew immediately that it could be none other than one of the judges from last night. No doubt, he came from Pierrette’s room.

He seemed taken aback when he caught sight of Fridolin, but quickly composed himself. He greeted Gibiser fleetingly with a wave of his hand, then lit a cigarette using a lighter on the office desk, and left the apartment.

After Dr. Fridolin left the costume shop, “with a feeling of annoyance that seemed disproportionate even to him”, he went to the polyclinic, where a young patient smiled at him, and she happened to be the same girl who had pressed her young breasts against his cheek. Schnitzler wrote:

The young girl with the suspicious apical catarrh in the last bed smiled at him. It was the same one who had recently pressed her breasts so trustingly against his cheek during an examination.

(Note: Dr. Fridolin may have referred to the young patient's “apical catarrh” as suspicious, because it could have developed due to sexual activity.)

Earlier in the novella, Dr. Fridolin and Albertine, Dr. Fridolin’s wife, who was “barely seventeen” when they got engaged, shared past attractions that they had developed while on a family trip to Denmark. Dr. Fridolin shared with his wife that at the beach, he became attracted to a “young girl, perhaps fifteen years old, with loose blonde hair flowing over her shoulders and down one side of her delicate breast.”

After the beautiful beachgoer caught sight of Dr. Fridolin, “she smiled, smiled wonderfully” with a “greeting, even a wave in her eyes”. In response to Dr. Fridolin’s gaze upon her, she "stretched her young slender body high” and she became “sweetly excited by the radiance” of his gaze. The beautiful girl’s gaze upon Dr. Fridolin caused him to feel a “movement, surpassing anything” that he had ever felt. So much so, that he “felt close to fainting." However, the young beachgoer and Dr. Fridolin did not commence an age-gap affair.

Lastly, in terms of young prostitutes and\or age-gap affairs in the novella, one night in Buchfeldgasse, Dr. Fridolin: “found himself on a narrow street where only a few suspicious-looking [young] women wandered about, making sad attempts to attract customers,” where he was stopped by 17-year-old Mizzi, a “young and pretty [sex worker], with a pale face and naturally red lips.”

“Won’t you come with me, doctor?” Mizzi asked.

“Come on,” she said when he hesitated.

After the doctor entered the young prostitute’s room, where an “oil lamp burned”, she “smiled and approached Fridolin”, “she undressed unhurriedly”, and she “sought his lips with hers.” However, Dr. Fridolin said, “I am really tired [...] You have such a sweet, gentle voice. Just talk, tell me something.” Mizzi rebutted, “You’re just afraid” And she exclaimed, “What a pity!”

Ultimately, 35-year-old Dr. Fridolin regretted that he didn’t cheat on his wife with, among other (young) women, the little Pierrette and the teen prostitute. Schnitzler wrote:

Only then did he think of Albertine - but as if he had to win her over again too. He felt he couldn't be with her again until he had cheated on her with all the others from tonight: the naked woman, Pierrette, Marianne, and the girl from the narrow alley.

Consequently, Dr. Fridolin went back to Mizzi’s apartment, but he was informed by “another young, not unattractive woman, [who] was wrapped in a bathrobe” that Mizzi, whom he described as “the most graceful, yes, even the purest of all”, was in the hospital. Then the young woman shared with the doctor, “But we’re healthy, thank God,” and she “came very close to Fridolin with half-open lips and a cheeky throwing back of her voluptuous body, so the bathrobe opened.”

Unsurprisingly, Eyes Wide Shut was nominated for a César Award for Best Foreign Film, and Schnitzler’s novella, which was first published in 1926, has been adapted and translated from German a number of times over the years.

Piper Rockelle: The 18-Year-Old OnlyFans Record Breaker

We first wrote about Piper Rockelle, a content creator with over 17 million TikTok followers, over four years ago, which was when Pink, the Grammy Award winning singer, opined that Piper, then-14-years-old and bikini-clad, was being exploited by Tiffany Smith, Piper's mother.

In the Page Six post, “14-year-old YouTuber responds to Pink’s criticism of her bikini photos" (September 1, 2021), Chelsea Hirsch quoted Pink:

“How many kids like Piper Rockelle are being exploited by their parents? And at what point do the rest of us say … ‘this isn’t okay for a 13 yr old to be posing in a bikini whilst her MOTHER takes the photo?!?!'”

However, Hirsch related that Piper responded to Pink by stating that Tiffany didn’t force her to do anything, and Piper said that posing in bikinis was the fulfillment of her teen dreams, which her mother simply helped her to fulfill.

“The first thing I want everyone to know is that my mom doesn’t make me do anything. Quite the opposite,” [Piper] Rockelle told TMZ Tuesday. “I’m a kid who had a dream, and my mom is amazing enough to help me live it out.”

“I don’t think Pink has ever seen one of my YouTube videos because if she did, she’d see it’s just my friends and me having fun and acting like ourselves,” she added. “The content we make is the kind of stuff anyone can watch.”

Piper Rockelle and the Squad

However, in the Teen Vogue piece “Piper Rockelle Turned 18. This Birthday, She Hopes, Will Change Everything” (August 21, 2025), Fortesa Latifi wrote that after the teen influencer group “Piper Rockelle and the Squad” was disbanded, which at its height was “pulling in hundreds of thousands of dollars a month”, former members of the group accused Piper’s mother of “emotional, verbal, physical, and at times, sexual abuse.” Naturally, Piper and her mother denied the allegations, but “the lawsuit was settled in 2024 for a reported $1.85 million”.

In the People post “Tiffany Smith Allegedly Sent Underage Daughter Piper Rockelle's 'Stalker' Photos in Exchange for Gifts” (April 11, 2025), Zoey Lyttle related that in the Netflix docuseries Bad Influence: The Dark Side of Kidfluencing (2025), Heather Nichole, a former stylist for “Piper Rockelle and the Squad” and her daughter, Sophie Fergi, a former member the group, alleged that Piper’s mother stressed that Piper was “sluttier” than Sophie and, consequently, Piper needed “sluttier clothes” because, “She needs to show more.” Heather said,

"I would buy them cute little tracksuits or matching clothes. Like, [11- and 12-year-old] girl clothes," Nichole said of her shopping for [Sophie] Fergi and Rockelle, who were tweens at the time. "Tiffany would get so pissed and be like, 'Piper is not Sophie. She's sluttier. Get her sluttier clothes ... She needs to show more.'"

Unsurprisingly, Piper’s mother denied Heather’s accusations, but there were more. For example, Corinne Joy, a former member of “Piper Rockelle and the Squad,” alleged in the docuseries that Piper’s mother sold Piper’s underwear to old men, simply because, “[...] old men like to smell them.” Lyttle wrote:

Another ex-squad star, Corinne Joy, also now 17, and her mother Steevy Areeco described a disturbing interaction which allegedly took place between Smith [Piper’s mother] and the young girl [Corinne] [...]

"Corinne came home and asked me why old men like to smell underwear," the mom said in an interview for the exposé series [...] As [Corinne] Joy recalled on camera, she joined Smith to drop Rockelle off at an acting or singing lesson, then Smith and Joy went to the post office so the single parent could "drop off some things."

The young content creator continued, "[Smith] had a bag, and she pulled out what looked like Piper's underwear. I asked her, 'Why are you shipping those out?' And she told me that old men like to smell them. And I was like, 'What is she talking about?' "

And mothers of former members of “Piper Rockelle and the Squad” alleged that Piper’s mother exchanged exclusive pictures of then-10-year-old Piper with a man, and that Piper’s mother allegedly allowed Piper to flirt with the man on the phone in exchange for “extravagant gifts” like Gucci bags, hoverboards, and iPhones. Lyttle wrote:

In another part of the docuseries, former squad moms [...] detailed Smith's interactions with an anonymous fan. He was a man, but online he went by the name Megan and often sent extravagant gifts to then-10-year-old Rockelle and her mother.

Smith allegedly told Nichole, "You can get stuff too if you send him pictures [...]”

In the docuseries, Joy added that Smith would regularly tell her daughter that Megan was on the phone, and [Piper] Rockelle would join the call to say hi to her fan.

"Just by flirting and sending him photos, Tiffany got herself a Gucci bag from Megan, Piper got a Gucci bag, all these outlandish gifts," said Nichole. Fergi added that Megan sent brand new computers, cameras, camera lenses, microphones, hoverboards and iPhones. "Anything that you could think of that Piper wanted, she got from Megan," said Fergi.

Piper Rockelle Celebrated Turning 18

Once again, Piper and her mother denied all of the allegations that were alleged in the docuseries, but Piper, who turned 18 on August 21, 2025, is, unsurprisingly, still surrounded by controversy. 

About six months before she turned 18, Piper visited the Bop House, which is an OnlyFans content creator collective. Thereby, Piper teased that she would follow Sami Sheen (i.e., the daughter of Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen), Danielle “Bhad Bhabie” Bregoli, and Tay “Lil Tay” Tian, whom all joined OnlyFans upon turning 18 and quickly earned millions. 

In the post on People, “YouTuber Piper Rockelle, 17, Responds to Backlash About Collabing with OnlyFans Creators at Bop House” (February 26, 2025), Victoria Edel posted: 

Piper Rockelle is reacting to online criticism after she visited TikTok’s Bop House.

The 17-year-old [...] recently received backlash after she visited Bop House and filmed videos with some of the residents. The women who live in the house (which has 3 million TikTok followers of its own) primarily make content for OnlyFans.

After posting a number of videos with the creators, [Piper] Rockelle, who describes herself online as an actress/dancer/singer, reacted to the online criticism in a TikTok posted on Feb. 24. Over footage of herself, she wrote, “How many times are they going to cry [about] me being in the bop house.” She then pretended to cry while some of the Bop House creators joined her to dance.

Edel wrote that to promote Piper’s visit, Sophie Rain, the 20-year-old co-founder of the Bop House, posted a video with Piper. Of course, Piper posted a video of her visit with the young OnlyFans influencers as well. And Piper shared that she was "so grateful for the opportunity to collab with the Bop House creators." 

Of course, Piper’s mother isn’t the first or last mother to exploit her daughter’s power. Take Demi Moore, who, per Wikipedia, in 1995 was the world's highest-paid actress. Demi shared in her memoir, Inside Out, that when she was 15, her (alcoholic) mother paraded her in bars. Consequently, unable to resist the allure of a nymphet, an approximately 48-year-old wealthy Greek man paid Demi's mother $500 for sex with the future film star. Afterwards, the Greek asked Demi, "How does it feel to be whored out [by your mother] for $500?"

As for Piper, Sean James posted on Mediaite “Social Media Star Racks Up $1 Million in First Hour on OnlyFans — Soon After Turning 18” (Jan 1st, 2026) In the post, James reported that, on New Year’s Day 2026, which was about four months after Piper turned 18, she earned a record breaking $1.26 million in her first hour on OnlyFans! James wrote:

A social media star pulled in more than $1 million in her first hour on OnlyFans on New Year’s Day — a move that disturbed a number of people on social media because it came just months after she turned 18.

Piper Rockelle is a YouTube sensation who rocketed to fame on the Google-owned platform, where she now has more than 12 million subscribers [...]

But she is now earning big bucks on the platform synonymous with adult content.

Rockelle made $1.26 million according to her screenshot. Most of that came from subscriptions — about $900K — while nearly $300K came from messages, and another $63,000 came from tips. She netted more than a $1 million after OnlyFans took its cut.

On X, Piper celebrated making “$1,000,000 in less than an hour”, and she thanked her OnlyFans fans for changing her life. 

“We broke the record!!! $1,000,000 in less than an hour,” Rockelle celebrated on X. “You guys are the best thank you for changing my life.”

And Piper shared in her OnlyFans bio that “everyone” discouraged her from doing OnlyFans, but that it’s “time to take it ALL OFF”. And she added: “oh well here goes nothing…”

After OnlyFans turned Sami Sheen, Bhad Bhabie, Lil Tay, and Piper into overnight teen millionaires, the pipeline from influencers slash content creators to (teen) sex workers will only continue.  

LAW & ORDER: SVU | St. Tabitha Prep School's Teen Hookers

On “Hooked” (2005), the 15th episode of season 6 of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, while looking at a topless lady through a telescope, a Boy Scout said, “I got something great and bare right here.” Consequently, another Boy Scout demanded, “Let me see. Let me see. Let go [of the telescope]!” However, the second Boy Scout couldn't find the topless lady, but he did discover the dead body of Lisa, who had just turned 15. Consequently, Dr. Tanner was “addicted”; so, despite being married, he moved to New York to be with Lisa, and “[...] gave her everything she wanted!” Unfortunately, Dr. Tanner was murdered in his apartment, and a search of the crime scene turned up Angela’s uniform scarf from Saint Tabitha Prep. Subsequently, Angele’s school locker was searched, where a teen sex tape was discovered. In a double bit of art imitating life, back in 1987, 24-year-old Brad Pitt played Randy and 15-year-old Shalane McCall played Charlotte on the prime time soap opera Dallas, where Randy and Charlotte had an age-gap relationship in which they shared an age-gap kiss and love scene. 

In terms of the kiss, Charlotte had Randy over to her house while her parents were away, but to Charlotte’s dismay, her mother and Ray, her step-father, returned home a day early and, consequently, witnessed Charlotte and Randy kissing passionately.

Later, a furious Ray caught Charlotte and Randy making out on the floor of the barn, but Charlotte didn’t understand why Ray was furious, because, as she opined, they were just “fooling around”. 

Reportedly, McCall shared with People magazine (1988) that filming romantic scenes with Pitt (i.e., a much older man) wasn’t awkward. McCall reportedly shared:

“I met him an hour before shooting. But it wasn't awkward. We were laughing and kidding around.”

However, Cherie Holton, McCall’s mother, reportedly related to People that her daughter felt some “anxiety” about kissing Pitt, because McCall was inexperienced. Cherie Holton shared:

“I can tell you there was anxiety on Chellain's part. It's not cool at her age to admit how inexperienced you are. She's only kissed about three boys in her life.”

In the W Magazine piece “Brad Pitt Tries to Find the Music in Each Day” (Jan. 9, 2023), Pitt reminisced over his age-gap love scene with McCall, which he referred to as “frolicking” “in the hay in a barn”.

W Magazine: What was your first love scene?

Pitt: It would have been in the show Dallas. I had to roll around in the hay in a barn. I don’t think I had a line. I was just rolling and frolicking.

Brad Pitt and Shalane McCall had an age-gap affair off-screen as well. They openly dated for about a year until, at the age of 17, McCall married the musician Trent Valladares. And in 1989, 26-year-old Pitt started dating 16-year-old Juliette Lewis.

Pitt and Lewis met on the set of Too Young to Die?. In the film, Lewis played Amanda, a 15-year-old sex worker, who had an age-gap relationship with her pimp Billy (Pitt) and with Mike (≈ 34-year-old Michael O'Keefe).

Interestingly, a year before Lewis and Pitt ended their age-gap affair, Lewis played Rain in Woody Allen's Husbands and Wives (1992). In the film, Rain had an age-gap affair with Gabe Roth (Woody Allen), her Columbia College literature professor. And she had age-gap affairs with her friend’s father, her father's business partner, and with her analyst.

Lastly, a year after Pitt and Lewis broke up, Pitt played Louis in Interview with the Vampire (1994) In the film, Louis and Lestat (Tom Cruise) conspired to turn Claudia (Kirsten Dunst) into a vampire. While Lestat and Claudia’s relationship was platonic, Louis and Claudia's relationship was physical. So much so that in a scene, which is controversial to this day, Claudia (i.e., 11-year-old Dunst) passionately kissed Louis (i.e., ≈ 30-year-old Pitt).
