Motörhead's “Jailbait”: "Hey Baby You're a Sweet Young Thing"

Jailbait” is on Motörhead's fourth album Ace of Spades. Song writers tend to use innuendos or a more conservative and cautionary tone when they write about nymphets, but the lyrics of “Jailbait” leave no doubt about  Motörhead's attraction to jailbait, which Merriam-Webster defines "as a girl under the age of consent with whom sexual intercourse is unlawful and constitutes statutory rape":

Hey baby you're a sweet young thing,\Still tied to Mommy's apron strings,\I don't even dare to ask your age,\It's enough to know you're here backstage,\You're Jailbait, and I just can't wait,\Jailbait baby come on

One look baby, all I need,\My decision made at lightning speed,\I don't even want to know your name,\It's enough to know you feel the same,\You're Jailbait, and I just can't wait,\Jailbait baby come on

Hey babe you know you look so fine,\Send shivers up and down my spine,\I don't care about our different ages,\I'm an open book with well thumbed pages,\You're Jailbait, and I just can't wait,\Jailbait baby come on

"It's enough to know you're here backstage" is revealing, because we know that nymphet groupies are a reality. For example, we know that David Bowie "De-Virginized" 15-Year-old Lori Maddox and Iggy Pop deflowered 13-year-old Sable Starr.

“Jailbait” was released in 1980 on Ace of Spades, which reached number 4 in the United Kingdom and went Gold in 1981.
