THE GIRL IN THE BOOK (2015): The Writer and the Nymphet

Alice, a book editor and writer, is assigned to handle the re-release of Milan Daneker's book Waking Eyes. Daneker had an affair with Alice when she was a nymphet and Waking Eyes is a roman à clef of that affair.

The affair began after Daneker started helping Alice with her writing. Strategically and conveniently, the tutoring sessions took place in Alice's bedroom while her parents, both book agents, were away. During his initial visits, Alice and Daneker spoke about her writing, but the sexual tension inevitably became too strong. Consequently, Alice kissed Daneker on the lips after he kissed her on the head. Subsequently, Daneker massaged Alice's fountains before he helped her reach her virginal orgasm.

After Daneker ignored Alice while he dined with her parents and flirted with a woman, Alice (unrealistically) told her parents about the affair which Daneker denied. (A nymphet will rarely reveal an affair with a older man to the authorities - especially over something as trivial as an older woman.Typically, the nymphet will become jealous and thereby more attracted to the ephebophile.)

Lastly, Nabokov's Pale Fire made a cameo in the film which reminded me of "Otar, a pleasant and cultured adeling with a tremendous nose and sparse hair, [who] had his two [thin-legged and green eyed] mistresses with him, eighteen-year-old Fifalda (whom he later married) and seventeen-year-old Fleur [...], daughters of Countess de Fyler, the Queen's favorite lady in waiting."

HER FATHER, MY LOVER (2015): A Teleiophile's Passion for Her Friend's Father

I have a major backlog of posts to write about Japanese ephebophilia;therefore, I decided to write a post about the Japanese film Her Father, My Lover (2015) [友だちのパパが好き] without an analysis and  review, because I have no idea when I will get to it, the film doesn't appear to be freely available, and, maybe more importantly, I feel that the concept of a Japanese teleiophile who is completely enthralled with her friend's father is extremely interesting. This film may display a more extreme version of teleiophilia than what was shown in American Beauty (1999) which will be analyzed in the upcoming 2nd edition of The Allure of Nymphets

Here's the film synopsis from Festival Scope:

“You're a sicko”. University student Taeko is appalled by her kooky friend Maya's attraction to her father, Kyosuke. His affair with workmate Hazuki resulted in her pregnancy. His subsequent divorce from cancer survivor Midori, only encourages Maya further. Meanwhile, her jilted lover Tadokoro, who also happens to be her former high school teacher, begins to stalk her. Maya's obsession with Kyosuke sets off a chain reaction of imploding relationships, and all Taeko can do is watch...

If and when Festival Scope gives me access to their website (I'm a writer and not a film professional.), I'll update this post with a review and an analysis.

PUPPYLOVE (2013): A Nymphet Watches Porn Then 'Bates in the Bathtub

Puppylove (2013) (Photo via Vincent Perez)

Here's the plot summary of Puppylove (2013), which was written by Delphine Lehericey, the director and co-writer of the French coming of age film:

At 14, Diane is an enigmatic teenager and a loner. She is busy bringing up her little brother, Marc, and has an intense relationship with her father, Christian. The appearance of Julia, a young charismatic and emancipated English girl, in her neighbourhood turns Diane's everyday life upside down. Diane, who wants to break the bounds of childhood at any price, goes through the most dramatic experiences of her life in the space of six months. The closer she is to Julia, the more she turns her back on morality, paying no attention to the consequences or the limits of her desires.

In the clip below, Diane's father barged into her room while she was taking a break from studying to watch pornography. After Diane refused to turn off the hardcore pornography, she politely asked her father to leave her room before, in the very next scene, the nymphet masturbated in the bathtub. Below is Netflix's subtitles for the dialogue that took place between Diane and her father:

Diane: You could knock.
Father: What are you up to?
Diane: I'm watching TV.
Father: I came to say good night.
Father: Switch that off.
Diane: Good night.

In addition to the pornography and masturbation, the following erotic early teen behavior was exhibited by fourteen-year-old Diane in the French film:
  • She unsuccessfully attempted to have sex with another teen
  • She shared a lipstick lesbian kiss with her classmate, Julia, after Julia performed oral sex in the backseat of an older male's car
  • She defiantly ran topless into the shower - of the boy's locker room
  • She incestuously asked her father, "Could you make love to me?"
  • She watched Julia have sex with the hotel's bartender while Julia's parents slept in the next hotel room
  • She sensuously kissed Julia in the hotel's bathroom
  • She reluctantly performed oral sex on a man in a nightclub's bathroom
  • She witnessed her father gazing upon Julia while she posed in the nude. (Julia previously opined about Diane's father, "I'm sure he likes youngsters.")
  • She and Julia had a three-way with a sailor in his cabin after commandeering his sailboat
  • She pulled back the shower curtain to give Julia a peep of her wet father
  • Julia kissed Diane's father, pulled down her whites panties and, despite his resistance, seduced him into having sex against a tree
According to the coming-of-age film's Wikipedia page, the film premiered at the San Sebastián International Film Festival, and it won a Magritte Award for Best Original Score and was nominated for Best First Feature.

Famous Ephebophile: Charlie Chaplin Fights Over 12-Year-Old Nymphet

I wrote in The Allure of Nymphets that Charlie Chaplin confessed that he had a violent crush on a specific nymphet and generally loved young girls. Joyce Milton shared in her book,Tramp: The Life of Charlie Chaplin, that Chaplin acknowledged, “I had a violent crush on a girl only ten or twelve. I have always been in love with young girls [...]”

In addition Milton clarified that Chaplin developed a crush on twelve-year-old Maybelle Fournier, he met Mildred Harris when she was fourteen-years-old, and impregnated her when she was sixteen. Furthermore, he was smitten with fifteen-year-old Hetty Kelly, and impregnated Lillita Grey when she was fifteen-years-old - allegedly before they were married.

And author and ephebophile J.D. Salinger was livid after Chaplin married Oona O'Neill. Salinger and O'Neill began an affair when O'Neill was sixteen-years-old, but after Salinger joined the Army, eighteen-year-old O'Neill moved to Los Angeles and married fifty-five-year-old Chaplin.

Interestingly, Barbara Wyllie wrote in "'My Age of Innocence Girl' - Humbert, Chaplin, Lita and Lo" about the influence that Chaplin had on Vladimir Nabokov. For example, there's a reference to Chaplin's toothbrush mustache in Lolita and Chaplin appeared on a movie poster in Nabokov's short story “Easter Rain” (1925).

Wyllie wrote that "[...] it could be argued that the particular nature of Chaplin’s
incarnation in Lolita is linked to Nabokov’s 1928 poem, “Lilith,” via The Kid, Chaplin’s
silent feature of 1921."

In The Kid, a nymphet in wings, played by Chaplin's twelve-year-old future wife Lillita McMurray, who wrote a tell-all book about the marriage, is told by Sin (i.e., The Devil) to "vamp" (i.e., seduce) the Tramp (Chaplin). The winged nymphet and the Tramp kissed before her Sweetheart arrived. She and her Sweetheart, who was played by a man who appeared to be a lot older than even thirty-two-year-old Chaplin, kissed before he allowed the nymphet and the Tramp to embrace and kiss again. However, after the nymphet refused to release her embrace of the Tramp, her Sweetheart became jealous and pummeled the Tramp.
