Snejana Farberov reported on the Daily Mail that Jared Fogle, Subway's 37-year-old former spokesman, agreed to plead guilty to charges of possession of child pornography and traveling to have sex with two minors. The pornography was obtained from Russell Taylor, the director of Fogle's charity, the Jared Foundation, and involved 12 children.
Allegedly, since 2007 Fogle had sex with fourteen minors, some of whom were 13 and 14. The young maidens were procured via social media and websites that advertised escort services.
Allegedly, Fogle started travelling to the Big Apple in 2010 to obtain the services of nymphet prostitutes. For example, in 2012 he allegedly had sex with a 17-year-old prostitute at the Plaza Hotel and the next day he offered her, via text messages, a finder's fee to procure him another teen, 'the younger, the better.'
And you thought the Law & Order: SVU episodes about New York City based teen prostitution were fiction. As Fogle's case has shown, one can procure, via social media and\or a website, a 17-year-old escort slash prostitute in the Big Apple. (The age of consent in New York is 17 and oddly is 16 across the Hudson.)
However, in 2013, Fogle allegedly had sex with an underage prostitute at the Ritz.
What is mind boggling is that it appears that none of the teen prostitutes or escort services have been charged with any crimes like when the FBI and Manhattan law enforcement agencies recovered 16 nymphets and arrested 45 pimps and their associates in teen sex peddling associated with the 2014 Super Bowl. But Fogle will be imprisoned for up to 12.5 years and has to pay $100,000 to each of the 14 "victims".
In no way are we condoning Fogle's behavior. If he were in Syria he would have been sentenced to death for his alleged deeds. And with his celebrity status he could have easily divorced his wife and, à la Frank Sinatra, married a nubile 16-year-old Midwestern nymphet. (Fogle's from Indiana where the age of consent is 16.)
